Insurance-Based Practice Without Burnout (2 CEU's)
PRACTICE, SUPERVISION & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Insurance-Based Practice Without Burnout 2 CEUs
Overview:
Working within an insurance-based practice can provide access to care for clients while offering clinicians a steady referral stream—but it also introduces unique challenges that can contribute to burnout. High caseload expectations, documentation demands, reimbursement limitations, and reduced clinical flexibility often leave clinicians feeling overextended, undervalued, and disconnected from their work. Without intentional strategies, sustaining an insurance-based practice can become emotionally and financially draining.
In this presentation, Dr. Zairys Feliz, Ph.D., LCSW, will guide participants in navigating the realities of insurance-based practice while maintaining clinical quality and personal sustainability. Attendees will explore the systemic pressures inherent in insurance models, including productivity requirements, billing structures, and administrative responsibilities. Emphasis will be placed on identifying the factors that contribute to burnout and understanding how to work effectively within these constraints without compromising ethical care or personal well-being.
Participants will learn practical, evidence-informed strategies to manage caseloads, streamline documentation, set realistic boundaries, and optimize workflow efficiency. This training will equip clinicians with tools to reduce burnout, improve job satisfaction, and create a more sustainable approach to insurance-based clinical work.
Objectives:
Analyze the systemic factors contributing to burnout in insurance-based practice settings.
Identify common challenges related to caseload management, documentation, and reimbursement structures.
Apply practical strategies to improve efficiency, set boundaries, and sustain clinical effectiveness.
